Thinking Partner | Space to Think Clearly About Work, Life and What Comes Next
Coaching for Aspirations ® | Clare Vie ®
A space to say what you’re actually thinking.
To explore what you haven’t quite made sense of yet. To question assumptions, notice what you might be missing and hear yourself properly — without someone rushing to give you the answer.
That’s what I offer as a Thinking Partner.
People come to me with all sorts of things.
A decision they can’t quite make. Something at work that keeps going round in their head. A business or career that’s changing. Too much responsibility and not enough space to think. Burnout, or trying to find a more sustainable way of working and living. A transition they didn’t expect. Success that doesn’t feel quite the way they thought it would.
Or simply the sense that something needs to change, without yet knowing what.
Work and life have an inconvenient habit of not staying in separate boxes.
So neither do our conversations.
My role is not to tell you what to do or who to become.
It is to think alongside you — to listen carefully, ask good questions, notice what may be difficult to see when you’re in the middle of something, challenge you when it’s useful, and give you room to discover what you actually think.
It draws on more than 30 years of professional and life experience, alongside my work as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), with training in health coaching, psychodynamics and Physical Intelligence.
There are no prescribed paths and no assumption that you need fixing.
We start with you, your circumstances and what matters now.
Coaching for Aspirations is the practice I created from a simple belief: that we can participate consciously in the direction our lives take.
Clare Vie® — meaning clear, bright life — is the developing philosophy and approach that now sits at the heart of my work.
Its starting point is simple:
Everything flows from there.
How you lead.
How you love.
How you work.
How you care for your body.
How you make decisions.
How much peace you experience.
How much of yourself you bring to the world.
Clare Vie asks us to pay attention to how we are participating in our own lives.
To notice what we feel before we explain it away. To hear our own intuition before it is drowned out by noise. To question the stories and rules we have inherited. To recognise the patterns we repeat without noticing.
And, where we can, to choose consciously rather than react automatically.
I call this:
Not as a state to achieve, but as a practice of noticing.
Because the more clearly we can see ourselves, our circumstances and the reality in front of us, the more choice we have about how we participate in what comes next.
People come to me for many different reasons.
You may be facing an important decision, navigating change, questioning the direction you are heading in, feeling stuck in a pattern, carrying too much, or simply sensing that something needs your attention before you can quite articulate what it is.
You don’t need to arrive with a neatly defined goal.
Sometimes knowing exactly what you want is the result of the conversation, not the prerequisite for having it.
Our work is private, one-to-one and shaped around what you bring.
We might explore a decision. Untangle something that has become complicated. Notice a pattern. Question an assumption. Look at what your head is telling you alongside what the rest of you may be saying. Or simply create enough space for something you already know to become clearer.
Sometimes the result is a decision.
Sometimes it is a different question.
Sometimes it is recognising what needs to change.
And sometimes it is understanding that nothing needs fixing at all.
The aim is not for me to become another voice in your head telling you what you should do.
It is for you to hear your own more clearly.
